This Lunenburg style home dates back to 1868 and was built by Georg Young the great grandson of Andreas Jung an ardent Lutheran who in 1750 at the age of 22 emigrated from Litzelinde in Germany to Nova Scotia. Century House offers three rooms all with ocean views and private bathrooms and is an ideal base for exploring the South Shore from Lunenburg to Peggy’s Cove and Halifax and is only an hours drive from Halifax International Airport. Walking trails and beaches are close by and for the convenience of guests arrangements can be made to have sea kayaks and bikes delivered to the house. An extensive seaside garden is adorned with whimsical ceramic ornaments created and produced by Mieke at Century House Pottery
